About Nandita Anand, MD
Nandita Anand, MD, is a glaucoma specialist and board-certified ophthalmologist with the team at Chicago Glaucoma Consultants – CGC Eye Center in Glenview, Illinois.
Dr. Anand grew up in Michigan and attended both college and medical school through the BS/MD program at Michigan State University. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago and was elected to be the chief resident during her last year of training. Following residency, she completed a fellowship in glaucoma at the prestigious Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, the Harvard teaching hospital dedicated to eye (ophthalmology), ear, nose, throat, head, and neck (ENT) care and research.
Dr. Anand is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and trained in comprehensive ophthalmology, allowing her to manage general eye health needs, including evaluation of dry eye, cataract, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. Dr. Anand performs cataract surgery on patients and specializes in a variety of laser and surgical procedures for the treatment of glaucoma, including laser trabeculoplasty and minimally-invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS).
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Anand has presented research on the regional and national levels and authored many peer-reviewed journal articles. She is a member of the American Glaucoma Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
