About Dr. Weis

Holly Weis, MD, is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist with the team at Chicago Glaucoma Consultants - CGC Center in Glenview, Illinois. 

Dr. Weis is a native of Northbrook, IL and obtained her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University.  She attended medical school at Rush University, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society (top 5% of her class for academic excellence).  She completed her internship at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL and then completed her residency training in Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Wisconsin.  During her final year of residency she was elected by faculty to be the chief resident of her program.  

Dr. Weis is a diplomat of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (board-certified), and functions as a comprehensive ophthalmologist.  Dr. Weis enjoys managing your general eye health needs, can manage eye emergencies of all kinds, and regularly conducts diabetic eye exams, screenings for macular degeneration, manages glaucoma of various stages and types, dry eye consultations, and much more.  Dr. Weis has an excellent bedside manner and treats her patients as she would her closest family and friends.  Dr. Weis will be your advocate and you will walk away from your appointment(s) feeling well cared for. 

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Weis enjoys teaching medical students, engaging the community with educational lectures about the eyes, and conducts quality improvement projects to improve patient experiences and patient safety in medical practice.
